Fiona Fortin, Piano – Valentina Pätzold, Violin

Two young talented musicians perform VIVALDI, FORTIN, ZEBINGER, KREISLER, MOZART, BRAHMS, LISZT, MENDELSSOHN, DE SARASATE.

Fiona Fortin was born in Graz and received her first piano lessons at the Johann-Joseph-Fux-Conservatory. She often participated in the young musicians’ competition “Prima la musica” in the categories piano solo, chamber music and as a young accompanist and received several first prizes. In 2012 she received the first prize at the international piano competition “Forum Per Tasti” in Banská Bystrica (sk).

After finishing school she studied Piano and Instrumental Music Education with Prof. Eugen Jakab at the University for Music and Performing Arts, where she graduated with distinction. She is currently studying Instrumental Music Education (master’s degree) with Prof. Peter Józsa.

Fiona Fortin works as a piano teacher in Graz-St. Peter and regularly collaborates with singers and instrumentalists for various concerts.

She took masterclasses for piano solo (e.g. with Alexander Jenner, Robert D. Levin, Dimitrios Syringelas), chamber music and collaborative piano. Since 2017 she has been a member of Camerata Pätzold.

Valentina Pätzold, was born in Graz, Austria in 2003 and startet playing violin with her teacher Angelika Schwab in 2007. She began studying music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in 2013, since 2017 Prof. Dominika Falger has been her teacher. She won a lot of first, prices with violin solo and chamber music in national competitions. Together with her family music, Camerata Pätzold (Violin, Saxophon, Piano and Doublebass) she has played concerts in Austria, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Albania, Serbia, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany and Korea. She is member of the Styria Youth Symphonie Orchestra.
